Katie Edwards

Founder & Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Katie Edwards received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. Prior to her doctoral education, Katie earned a Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Katie has also achieved a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is certified in Dry Needling by the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. 

Katie has significant specialty training in working with endurance athletes, gait analysis, and lower extremity pathology, especially of the foot and ankle. Katie is also an expert in shoe fitting and modifications. Katie has worked with runners of all levels, from Girls on the Run and Couch to 5K to the elite level, as well as athletes of all types and abilities, including triathletes, bodybuilders, football players, soccer players, and basketball players.

Katie has done research in ACL injury prevention and the development of osteoarthritis following ACL reconstruction, and is passionate about injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement through a focus on manual therapy, gait retraining, strengthening, and stabilization. Katie’s treatment philosophy is heavily focused on patient education to optimize muscle activation and movement patterns to reduce pain and improve motion, strength, and efficiency.

Katie grew up a multi-sport athlete and continues to be an avid runner, dog lover, and food enthusiast.

 

Austin Williams

Doctor of Physical Therapy & Personal Trainer

Austin Williams earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy, with honors, from Wingate University, where he gained experience as a Physical Therapy intern in a variety of clinical settings. His clinical education has provided him the opportunity to discover the depths of what physical therapy offers while being exposed to various experiences and patient populations. Diversity in clinical environments has aided in his development of a strong musculoskeletal knowledge base, which can be applicable to all aspects of clinical practice and patient management. Austin is trained in dry needling as well as Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training. Now with years of experience working in clinic settings, Austin is ready to help you reach your goals, whether you are the hardcore athlete, recovering from an injury or diagnosis or just working to find your best self, he looks forward to working with you.

Greg Kucharski

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Originally a native of Buffalo, NY, Greg Kucharski received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2010.  Greg is an APTA Sports Certified Specialist and has a passion for working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. He has previously worked with Cirque du Soleil on their production Quidam as a performance medicine therapist. 

Greg’s treatment mentality is to get his patients better than even their pre-injury level so that they don’t break down again and have recurring problems.  He is certified in dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and movement based screening. 

Since moving to Charlotte in 2011, Greg has embraced the city and has made it his home. His hobbies include hiking, training for half marathons, and spending most weekends of the summer at the WhiteWater Center.

 

Brandon Kovash

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Brandon is originally from Sioux Falls, SD and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2018. Since graduating, his experiences have provided him with the opportunity to treat a diversity of orthopedic conditions. He is certified in dry needling, has McKenzie training for the lumbar spine, and has a certificate from the AAMT in cupping and IASTM techniques. Brandon has a passion for treating low back, hip and leg pain.

Brandon’s undergraduate degree is in Psychology, which has helped him balance the art and science of rehab and performance medicine. While at the the University of South Dakota, he was a sprinter for the track and field team and in his final season of competing, he won the 60m and 200m indoor events at the Summit League conference track meet.

Playing multiple sports growing up and dealing with various injuries that came with that, is what propelled Brandon into the field of Physical Therapy. He is passionate about helping people of all ages move better and feel better.

 

Jordan Spennato

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Jordan received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX. She moved up to Charlotte to complete a residency and is Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, certified in Dry Needling, and currently enjoys honing her spinal manipulation skills. 

Jordan loves working with a wide range of patients, but developed a particular passion for treating the hypermobile population and their unique challenges with associated nervous system sensitization. 

Outside of the clinic, Jordan enjoys marrying two of her loves- anatomy and art. She has illustrated medical articles, decorated a handful of orthopedic waiting rooms, and had her art chosen as the cover of the American College of Surgeons in 2021. She continues to enjoy exploring new media, planning to branch into tattooing for post-mastectomy patients in the next few years.
