Founder & Physical Therapist
Dr. Katie Edwards received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. Prior to her doctoral education, Katie earned a Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Katie has also achieved a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is certified in Dry Needling by the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy.
Katie has significant specialty training in working with endurance athletes, gait analysis, and lower extremity pathology, especially of the foot and ankle. Katie is also an expert in shoe fitting and modifications. Katie has worked with runners of all levels, from Girls on the Run and Couch to 5K to the elite level, as well as athletes of all types and abilities, including triathletes, bodybuilders, football players, soccer players, and basketball players.
Katie has done research in ACL injury prevention and the development of osteoarthritis following ACL reconstruction, and is passionate about injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement through a focus on manual therapy, gait retraining, strengthening, and stabilization. Katie’s treatment philosophy is heavily focused on patient education to optimize muscle activation and movement patterns to reduce pain and improve motion, strength, and efficiency.
Katie grew up a multi-sport athlete and continues to be an avid runner, dog lover, and food enthusiast.
Physical Therapist & Personal Trainer
Margo Iuliano has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and with LANA, the Lymphology Association of North America.
Margo is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
In addition, Margo has Lymphedema in her trunk and lower extremity and practices daily Manual Lymph Drainage and exercise while wearing daily compression and bandages at night. She understands the physical challenges of living with this condition, which is why she is dedicated to empowering those with Lymphedema to live an independent and active life.
In the gym setting, Margo’s passion is to combine correct movement patterns with optimal function to help her clients realize their strength potential and weight loss goals.
Further, as an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer, Margo designs and administers fitness assessments and exercise programs for cancer patients and survivors.
Corrie earned her Master’s of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from
Eastern Michigan University, and is a Board Certified Oncology
Dietitian. Her passion lies in working with individuals going through
chemo/radiation, or those who have taken an alternative route. In
addition, she helps with the transition to the "new normal" of life
and how to adjust to the remaining side effects and symptoms after
Corrie also has a special interest in sports nutrition and helping
athletes achieve their individual goals. She accomplishes this by
tailoring nutritional programs to fit the needs of her clients through
individual/family nutrition counseling, and creating specialized meal
plans. Her experience includes working with Division 1 athletic
programs, as well as working with both female and male athletes that
have various athletic interests.
Cancer Exercise Specialist & Personal Trainer
Amee Livingston is a certified trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a graduate of Clemson University. Amee is a breast cancer survivor that understands, first hand, the struggles survivors face when regaining their strength and mobility. While recovering from her cancer surgeries, Amee worked towards receiving her cancer exercise specialist certifications through the American Academy of Health & Fitness and the Pink Ribbon Program, specializing in breast cancer rehabilitation.
Amee is also a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach and believes in focusing on a whole-health approach to wellness, with an emphasis on nutrient-dense food, exercise and mindful eating practices.
In addition, Amee is a Pre and Postnatal certified coach, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, CrossFit Level 1 trainer, CrossFit Endurance trainer and head foodie at AmeesSavoryDish.com, where she shares her love of all things food and fitness. In her spare time, Amee enjoys the sport of Olympic weightlifting and competing as a masters athlete.
Amee is passionate about coaching and helping people, especially those who are struggling with physical and emotional battles. Through her own difficult cancer journey, she found a new mission and purpose.

Martin has always had a passion for helping people, this ultimately led to his career in personal training. Taking his knowledge from years of athletic competition and expanding his knowledge of functional training and mobility as a trainer has enabled him to effectively help others with daily activities, recovery from injuries or enhance athletic performance. His wife’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment revealed to him the strong need for an integrated approached comprised of therapy, personal training and nutrition to truly help folks who were released or in remission, but not recovered.
From that journey the Fight Back concept was born. He is a certified personal trainer from American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Precision Nutrition Level 1 and additional fitness related certifications. Martin’s training style is deeply rooted in a strong commitment to his clients balanced with a sense of humor. He looks forward to helping you achieve your goals and finding the best version of yourself.
Dr. Clint Serafino graduated from Winston-Salem State University in the inaugural Doctor of Physical Therapy cohort. As a physiotherapist, he has worked extensively with patients with chronic pain condition, as well as high school, college, and professional athletes, and weekend warriors. He specializes in headaches and pain management, TMJ dysfunction, nerve pain and fibromyalgia, spine pain and dysfunction, and pre-operative orthopedic care.
He has completed the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT) fellowship program in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy; and, he holds a Diploma in Osteopractic Physical Therapy, a 9-course series specializing in cutting-edge manual therapy such as myofascial cupping and instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization, as well as application of the best clinical evidence for differential diagnosis of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. In 2016, he was accepted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, specializing in diagnosis, treatment intervention, and management of movement disorders and chronic pain.
Most recently, Dr. Serafino has joined the AAMT fellowship program as a senior faculty member Senior Instructor in the Dry Needling Institute and the Spinal Manipulation Institute. He teaches MDs and Physiotherapists specialized dry needling and spinal manipulation techniques, as well as the best available evidence to support their use.
Dr. Serafino currently uses calisthenics and gymnastic strength training for his fitness programming. He enjoys a well-rounded cup of coffee; and, he is passionate about personal development and self-assessment!
Originally a native of Buffalo, NY, Greg Kucharski received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2010. Greg is an APTA Sports Certified Specialist and has a passion for working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. He has previously worked with Cirque du Soleil on their production Quidam as a performance medicine therapist.
Greg’s treatment mentality is to get his patients better than even their pre-injury level so that they don’t break down again and have recurring problems. He is certified in dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and movement based screening.
Since moving to Charlotte in 2011, Greg has embraced the city and has made it his home. His hobbies include hiking, training for half marathons, and spending most weekends of the summer at the WhiteWater Center.
Cancer Exercise Specialist & Personal Trainer
Dee Dee was a college athlete, who played soccer at Peace College before transferring to North Carolina State University. Dee Dee Secor is a certified personal trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She is a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist through the Cancer Exercise Institute and is certified as a TRX Trainer. She specializes in resistance training, core and stability strengthening. Dee Dee is committed to helping her clients live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Her personal training philosophy is built on this sound foundation but is individually tailored to each client’s needs & goals.
Dee Dee’s daughter was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 10. Three years of treatment, surgeries, physical therapy and personal training with her daughter changed Dee Dee’s life forever. Dee Dee’s passion for helping others is now her life calling. Dee Dee is currently finalizing her Senior Fitness Specialist through ACE (American Council of Exercise).
Dee Dee is an avid runner. She is a Let Me Run running coach which inspires children through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. She has a personal passion for coaching, training, health, fitness and nutrition. During her down time, she enjoys exercising, yoga and spending time with her children, husband and two dogs.
